Harald Bluetooth was one of the most known Vikings today because of the projects and landmarks he displayed. He wanted to be remembered for his specific achievements, therefore he made things such as the First wooden Bridge of Scandinavia in Raving , The Jelling Stone, The Army road and the Forts (pictured on the left).
Harald Bluetooth had thought to help unify, protect, and strengthen his k\Kingdom by building the four Forts. However the Forts were only one of Harald's many projects. These projects changed Danish landscape and have lasted up until this day.
One of his biggest projects was the first bridge in Scandinavia in Raving, this is a big, wide, wooden bridge structure used to cross land to land. The bridge is located at Raving Enge in Jutland.
Harald also created the Danevirk, a huge wall that protected Denmark from any invasion coming from the South.
Another project Harald made was the Jelling stone, a big memorial stone honoring his parents. Click below to find out more about the Jelling Stone.
